Himesh Reshammiya's much-anticipated film, Badass Ravi Kumar, premiered in theatres on February 7, 2025, and achieved notable success at the box office. The film captivated audiences with its lighthearted, spoofy style, engaging one-liners, and lively musical numbers. It also featured prominent actors such as Kirti Kulhari, Sanjay Mishra, Prabhu Deva, Sunny Leone, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Johnny Lever in significant roles. This musical action film serves as a spin-off of the 2014 movie The Xposé. In a recent interview, Kirti shared her experiences working with Himesh and explained her initial motivation for joining the project. She recounted an instance where Himesh dismissed her suggestions for dialogue modifications during a particular scene.

What prompted Kirti Kulhari to accept the role in Badass Ravi Kumar?  

During her conversation with, the actress acknowledged that many were surprised to see her featured in the Badass Ravi Kumar trailer. She herself was taken aback when she received the offer to participate in the film. Kirti disclosed that Himesh had set a condition prior to her acceptance. She stated, "Himesh and I exist in parallel worlds. How can they ever meet? I remember there were a few dialogues, and I wanted to enhance them, either by adding, removing, or rephrasing them, but he told me no. It was almost like a take-it-or-leave-it situation; this is how it is. He made it clear that if I agreed to the film, I would have to adhere to his vision or not participate at all. That was the moment I realized I would take on the role."

Additionally, she expressed that Himesh's rejection did not offend her. On the contrary, she felt pleased and impressed by his decisiveness and conviction. The actress remarked, "He was very clear, saying, ‘Don’t interfere with what we have. This is the situation.’ I was not offended. I was glad to see someone who is certain about his path."

Despite facing significant criticism on social media, Himesh's film achieved a commendable performance at the box office. It successfully earned Rs 8.34 crore in India and accumulated Rs 10.94 crore globally.
