Bazooka, the highly anticipated project that will star Mammootty in the lead role, has been making headlines with multiple delays in its release. Earlier, it was rumored that the release of the long-delayed Mammootty starrer has been pushed to 2025, due to some undisclosed production and technical issues. It was reported that a few days of shooting are pending for the film, even though leading man Mammootty wrapped up his portions many months ago. As per the recent updates, director Deeno Dennis and his team have finally wrapped up the shooting of the film. The team has reportedly also started the post-production works of the film.
If the reports are to be believed, the makers of Bazooka are keen to release the film, which is touted to be a game thriller, at least by the end of 2024. As per the reports, the Mammootty starrer has a high chance to hit the theatres by the third or last week of December 2024, as a Christmas special release. The new updates came out as a big relief for the Mammootty fans, who have been worrying about the status of the long-delayed film.

Mammootty is reportedly playing the role of a former army officer and travel junky in the film, scripted by Deeno Dennis, himself. Gautham Vasudev Menon, on the other hand, plays the role of a daring cop named Benjamin Joshua IPS. Jagadish, Sidharth Bharathan, Sunny Wayne, Gayathiri Iyer, Shine Tom Chacko, Sharaf U Dheen, Divya Pillai, Neeta Pillai, Iswarya Menon, and others in supporting roles. Midhun Mukundan composes the songs and original score. The project is bankrolled by the popular banner, Yoodle Films.
