One of the most eagerly awaited Malayalam projects of 2024 is Mammootty's Bazooka. Fans of the actor and movie buffs have been disappointed by the multiple postponements of its theatrical premiere. It was earlier said to be an Onam or October release this year. However, recent reports claim that the game thriller will hit the big screens in December 2024 or January 2025. With this, fans are now hoping for a power-packed Mammootty movie, most likely around Christmas this year.

Teaser of Mammootty's Bazooka

On August 15, the much-awaited teaser for Bazooka was finally released by the makers on social media. The 1-minute, 43-second video begins with Benjamin Joshu IPS, played by Gautham Vasudev Menon, a daring police officer who is watching a mobster battle while eating popcorn. Subsequently, he alludes to a perilous game between evil and good. With his vintage automobiles and half-ponytails, Mammootty's enigmatic protagonist makes a very chic entrance. The teaser for Deeno Dennis's Bazooka suggests that the film primarily centres on the interactions between Gautham Menon's police officer and Mammootty's mission-driven character. 

Overall, the Deeno Dennis directorial looks like it would offer a unique and intriguing cinematic experience thanks to Mammootty's distinctive look and screen presence, Gautham Vasudev Menon's intriguing characterisation, the striking aesthetics, and the enticing background score. 

Bazooka's cast and crew

This film is being directed by Kaloor Dennis's son, Deeno Dennis. Renowned actor and filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, who is collaborating with Mammootty for the first time on screen, has a major role in the film.

The film stars Jagadish, Sunny Wayne, Hakkim Shajahan, Divya Pillai, Shine Tom Chacko, and Sharaf U Dheen in supporting roles. Anweshippin Kandethum fame Theatre of Dreams has bankrolled this film. Moviegoers' curiosity has already been sparked by the film's captivating plot and outstanding cast of performers. Deeno stated that Bengaluru and Kochi are the primary locations for the film in a previous interview with OTTplay.
