Mohanlal’s Empuraan has been grabbing a lot of attention in the Malayalam film scene lately, though not necessarily for positive reasons. However, there are other Malayalam films set to release soon. Following Empuraan, Mammootty’s thrilling movie, Bazooka, is the next major release. It’s scheduled to premiere in theaters next week for Vishu, and the first-day showtimes have been confirmed. Mammootty's Bazooka first-day-first-show schedule

The premiere of Bazooka, featuring Mammootty in the lead, is set for 9 AM on April 10, 2025. The FDFS timings were announced on Instagram by Mammootty's own production company, Mammootty Kampany. They also shared a fresh poster showcasing a clock alongside Mammootty. 

In the meantime, online trackers have announced on social media that bookings for Bazooka in Kerala will kick off on Saturday. 

The team and talent behind Bazooka

Mammootty takes the lead in Bazooka, which also stars Gautham Vasudev Menon in a prominent role. This marks the second time this year that the Malayalam superstar and the Tamil filmmaker-actor have teamed up. Earlier, GVM made his Malayalam directorial debut with Dominic and the Ladies' Purse, where Mammootty played a detective. In Bazooka, Gautham Vasudev Menon portrays an IPS officer named ACP Benjamin Joshua.

The film, which is written and directed by newcomer Deeno Dennis, also includes actors like Sharaf U Dheen, Jagadish, Sidharth Bharathan, and Shine Tom Chacko. Additionally, Babu Antony, Neeta Pillai, Gayathiri Iyer, and Iswarya Menon are part of the ensemble cast. 

Bazooka storyline

Mammootty, known for his roles in thrillers like Kannur Squad, is back in the genre with Bazooka. The newly released trailer features Gautham Vasudev Menon as the Kochi ACP on a mission to catch a bold villain. Mammootty appears in a sleek new look, but details about his character remain scarce. This film, described as a game thriller, revolves around the partnership of these two characters as they work together to apprehend a fearless criminal.
