Bastar: The Naxal Story, directed by Sudipto Sen was released in theatres in March this year. The film, which stars Adah Sharma in the lead role got its digital release, two months after its release. The film is currently streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. Bastar has been streaming since May 17, 2024. The makers have been dropping new posters and promos to keep audiences engaged since the film saw its OTT release. The latest promo film is heartbreaking.

Bastar's new promo is out now!

ZEE5 shared the new promo for Bastar: The Naxal Story on Instagram. The post shows Adah Sharma's IPS Neerja facing the Naxals and getting hurt by their attack and firing. The video has "A fight to avenge the fallen" written on the video while the makers captioned it, "Taking the fight to the enemies has never been this thrilling. #Bastar, inspired by true events, streaming now, only on #ZEE5. Available in Hindi and Telugu."

For the unaware, Adah Sharma collaborated with director Sudipto Sen for the second time after the success of their film, The Kerala Story. However, Bastar failed to recreate the same magic and tanked at the box office. 

Earlier, while speaking to India Forums, the actress talked about her thoughts on why the makers cast her over a male actor. She said, "Neeraja Madhavan is someone who is so brave, playing a character of anyone in our Indian army, representing our CRPF jawans is an honour. Also the quality of putting others before yourself and being ready to sacrifice your life for your country. That would be a question to the makers, it was nice that they showed that trust in me. Just after casting me as a naive victim in The Kerala Story, they cast me as a strong ferocious soldier in Bastar the Naxal story."
