The trailer for Mohanlal's directorial debut has been released. On Wednesday, the renowned actor presented the Hindi trailer of the film, accompanied by Chief Guest Akshay Kumar. During the event, he also introduced a coffee table book, providing Akshay Kumar with insights into the intriguing universe of Barroz. The film, which has been in production since 2021, is scheduled to premiere in theatres on December 27.

The trailer invites viewers to embark on a captivating adventure within the realm of Barroz, featuring breathtaking 3D imagery. This ageless narrative weaves together elements of history and modernity, highlighting how the bonds of friendship and loyalty are essential in overcoming age-old curses.

Barros, having protected Vasco da Gama's treasure for four centuries, declares that he will depart only when the rightful descendant of Gama claims ownership. The film features actor Mohanlal alongside Mayo Rao West and June Vig. With cinematography by Santosh Sivan, Barroz is set to deliver a stunning visual experience.

Jijo Punnoose adapted his novel Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure into the film. Following a rewrite of the story by Mohanlal and director TK Rajeev Kumar during the pandemic, Punnoose departed from the project and relinquished his credits.

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirward Cinemas in collaboration with Pen Studios, Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz, is scheduled for release in 3D across Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages. The film is set to premiere in theatres on December 27th in Hindi.
