Bobby Kolli's Daaku Maharaaj, featuring Balakrishna, hit theaters in Telugu for Sankranthi on January 12 and is set to drop in Hindi on January 24. The movie, which includes stars like Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Bobby Deol, and Urvashi Rautela, raked in ₹81.3 crore net in India and a total of ₹113.50 crore globally, as reported by Sacnilk.

Pragya is super excited about the Hindi-dubbed version of Daaku Maharaaj, saying, “I’m thrilled for the release of Daaku Maharaaj in Hindi! The film has been showered with so much love from audiences in the south, and I can’t wait for Hindi viewers to experience this amazing film on January 24! Catch you at the theaters!” In the movie, she plays the role of Kaveri.

Recently, she appeared in the Hindi film Khel Khel Mein alongside Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu. Daaku Maharaaj marks her second collaboration with Balakrishna after their successful film Akhanda in 2021. She’s also set to work with him again in Akhanda 2, which is being directed by Boyapati Srinu.

Daaku Maharaaj had quite the competition when it dropped, going up against Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's Game Changer, as well as Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Meenakshi Chaudhary's Sankranthiki Vasthunam. The film is set to hit Hindi theaters two weeks after its Telugu debut.

Urvashi recently chatted with Lehren TV about the film's success and didn't hold back on her thoughts about Game Changer, calling it a ‘disaster’. She mentioned, “If Kiara Advani's Game Changer flopped and my Daaku Maharaaj turned out to be a blockbuster, that’s not on me. I’m just wondering, 'Why all these tweets are coming up?'”
