Badass Ravikumar vs Loveyapa box office analysis: The theatrical release of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor's Loveyapa faced competition from Himesh Reshammiya's Badass Ravikumar at the box office on Friday. Both films have not met expectations, with Badass Ravikumar slightly outperforming Loveyapa.

As reported by Sacnilk, Badass Ravikumar earned ₹0.60 crore on Monday, reflecting a decline of 57.14 percent, followed by ₹0.44 crore on Tuesday. The cumulative collection now stands at ₹7.19 crore (nett).
In contrast, Loveyapa garnered ₹0.55 crore on Monday, experiencing a more significant drop of 68.57 percent. On Tuesday, it earned ₹0.45 crore, resulting in a total collection of ₹5.55 crore (nett).
On Tuesday, Badass Ravikumar recorded an overall occupancy rate of 5.85% in Hindi, while Loveyapa achieved a higher occupancy of 7.38% in Hindi on February 11.
Badass Ravikumar had a stronger opening than Loveyapa, accumulating ₹6.15 crore during its first weekend, compared to Loveyapa's ₹4.55 crore.
About the films
Loveyapa, produced by Madhu Mantena and Srishti Behl's Phantom Films, marks the theatrical debut of Junaid Khan, the elder son of Aamir Khan, and Khushi Kapoor, the younger daughter of the late Sridevi. Both newcomers previously appeared in Siddharth P Malhotra's 2024 period drama Maharaj and Zoya Akhtar's 2023 period coming-of-age musical The Archies on Netflix India, respectively. The narrative of Loveyapa centers on a couple who are compelled to exchange their phones by the girl's father. The film also features performances by Ashutosh Rana and Kiku Sharda.
According to a review by Hindustan Times, while Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor deliver engaging performances, the film suffers from issues related to pacing.
Himesh Reshammiya's latest release, Badass Ravikumar, has garnered a range of reviews, with some fans expressing their appreciation while others have criticized it as "illogical." This film marks the feature directorial debut of Keith Gomes and is produced under the banner of Himesh Reshammiya Melodies. The cast includes notable actors such as Prabhu Deva, Kirti Kulhari, Simona J, Saurabh Sachdeva, Sanjay Mishra, and Johnny Lever in supporting roles. As a musical action film, it serves as a spin-off to the 2014 movie The Xposé and represents the second installment within The Xposé Universe. According to a review by the Hindustan Times, the film is described as an assault not only on the antagonist but also on the audience's senses, with common sense suffering significantly. Both films were released on February 7.
