There is so much anticipation for legacy franchises that there is no way people can ignore their presence. Even if you haven't seen a single Bad Boys movie (there are just four in the last 30 years), you will still know that there is a film from the franchise running in theatres across the world at this point. Bad Boys: Ride or Die is one of the most spoken-about movies this year, and the fact that the franchise still holds enough water to survive for many films is insane because the first film was released in 1995, which is almost 30 years ago. So you know what we are talking about. While the movie may have faded from Indian theatres, the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence starrer is still a rage on domestic screens. The film has now achieved a box office milestone back home.

Bad Boys 4 Box Office Milestone

Bad Boys: Ride or Die, aka Bad Boys 4, is now already a massive success in the West, but it turns out that the domination has just begun. As per the latest news, the fourth movie in Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s franchise has now managed to achieve a milestone. As per reports, the film has now entered the top 5 list of highest-grossing Hollywood movies of 2024 domestically. Read on to know everything you should about the same.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die has managed to earn $336.5 million at the global box office against a budget of $100 million. The Will Smith and Martin Lawrence film has knocked off Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes from the list, putting it $24 million short of Kung Fu Panda 4. This means Bad Boys 4 is already a success, and not just any success but one of the most glorious ones in 2024. The movie continues to be on the big screen with good footfall.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die on OTT

However, in many parts of the world, it took a while for the audience to realise how fun the film is, but by then, Bad Boys: Ride or Die was already out of the theatres. They are indeed waiting for the movie to drop on streaming now, but there has been no update on the same. However, if you can draw parallels, Bad Boys 4 is backed by Sony, which has a multi-year ongoing deal with Netflix. This means Ride or Die will have to hit Netflix before it makes its way anywhere else. For example, Madame Web was released on Netflix, whereas the content before that went on SonyLIV in India.

The Bad Boys Franchise on OTT

Before Bad Boys: Ride or Die, there are three films in the franchise, namely Bad Boys, Bad Boys II, and Bad Boys for Life. All of them are streaming in India on JioCinema, YouTube (on rent), Google Play (on rent), and Apple TV (on rent). The latter two (2 & 3) are, however, also available on Zee5 on rent, and you can watch them with your OTTplay Premium subscription.
