After screening in theatres for three days along with Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, the taster cut of Baby John has finally made it online. The film, starring Varun Dhawan in the title role, promises to be an action-packed thriller, brimming with action, drama, and thrilling moments. The teaser also offers a glimpse into the actor's dual personas, one as a cop and the other with a rugged look, which has undoubtedly excited fans.

Produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios, A for Apple Studios, and Cine1 Studios, Baby John is a masala family entertainer under Kalees' direction. S. Thaman's thrilling beats in the film's score have captivated audiences, as evidenced in the teaser. 

Baby John plot synopsis

In the film, using the nickname "Baby John," former police officer Satya Verma pretends to die so he can raise his daughter safely. Trouble arises though, when Babbar Sher, Baby John's old enemy, threatens their lives. John must face Sher head-on to save his daughter.

For those who are unaware, Baby John is the official remake of Atlee's film Theri (2016). The original flick featured Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Amy Jackson in the lead roles.

It was earlier reported that after Jawan, Atlee will be directing Baby John. However, Atlee enlisted Kalees, his former assistant, to oversee the production. He has previously helmed the 2019 techno-thriller film Kee.

Release date

Baby John will premiere in theatres on December 25, 2024.
