Varun Dhawan's action film, Baby John, is facing significant challenges at the box office. It is being supplanted in several theatres by Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule, Unni Mukundan's Marco, and Mufasa: The Lion King. Despite being on its second Thursday, Baby John has failed to reach a collection of Rs. 40 crore. According to Sacnilk, the film experienced a notable decline on its ninth day.

According to Sacnilk, Varun Dhawan's film Baby John garnered merely Rs. 1 crore at the domestic box office, bringing its overall total to Rs. 36.40 crore. This significant decrease in revenue has resulted in a reduction in screening opportunities. The film was initially launched in more than 3,500 theatres but experienced a steep decline in earnings starting from the second day. Reports indicate that numerous single-screen cinemas have removed Baby John from their lineups in the past week due to insufficient audience turnout.

Following the assassination of Babbar Sher's son by DCP Satya Verma IPS (portrayed by Varun Dhawan) due to a grave offence, a fierce power struggle ensues between the two. This conflict culminates in Babbar wreaking havoc on Satya's family.
With his daughter Khushi (played by Zara Zyanna) being the sole survivor, Satya feigns his own death, allowing him and Khushi to seek a peaceful existence in Kerala under the alias Baby John. As Satya embarks on a quest for vengeance against Sher, he also safeguards Khushi when she threatens to disrupt their tranquil life upon discovering his true identity.
The review of Baby John states, "Baby John attempts to blend Bollywood with South Indian elements but ultimately finds itself in a state of disappointment. While Varun Dhawan showcases his versatility through dual roles, the film remains mired in a collection of clichés, struggling to balance style with meaningful content."
In Baby John, Varun Dhawan takes on the lead role, supported by Keerthy Suresh, who makes her Hindi cinema debut, along with Wamiqa Gabbi, Zara Zyanna, and Jackie Shroff in prominent roles. The film is produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, and A for Apple Productions. The music is composed by the skilled Thaman S, with cinematography handled by Kiran Koushik and editing by Ruben.
This pan-India film, presented by Atlee, the director of Jawan, and directed by Kalees, is set to stream on Prime Video in 2025 after its theatrical release.
