Varun Dhawan's film Baby John was among the most eagerly awaited releases of 2024. Directed by Kalees, the movie premiered in theatres on December 25. Produced by Atlee, it was projected to generate ₹13 crore on its opening day. However, it only achieved a collection of ₹11.25 crore, according to Sacnilk. Furthermore, the box office performance on the second day has proven to be even more disappointing, reflecting a notable decline.

According to Sacnilk, Baby John reportedly garnered Rs. 4.50 crore (preliminary estimates) in India on its second day of release. The film premiered on Christmas and experienced a notable decline in box office performance despite an impressive opening.

The film registered a business of ₹11.25 crore on day 1. Now, with the second-day numbers in, the total collection in India is ₹15.75 crore (nett) approximately.

The thrilling film features an ensemble cast that includes Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav, alongside a special cameo by Salman Khan.

In the film, Varun Dhawan portrays DCP Satya Verma IPS, also known as Baby John, while Keerthy Suresh takes on the role of his wife, Meera Verma. Zara Zyanna plays their daughter, Khushi Verma, and Wamiqa Gabbi is cast as Khushi's teacher. Jackie Shroff appears as Babbar Sher and Rajpal Yadav plays Head Constable Ram Sevak. B. S. Avinash has a supporting role, and Sheeba Chaddha portrays Satya's mother.

The review of Baby John states, "Baby John attempts to infuse Bollywood with South Indian elements but ultimately falls short. While Varun Dhawan showcases his versatility, the film struggles with its reliance on clichés, failing to balance style with substance."

Baby John's OTT partner revealed

Baby John is set to be available for streaming on Prime Video in 2025, subsequent to its theatrical debut. The specific date for the OTT release has not yet been disclosed.
