Baby John box office collection day 3: Varun Dhawan's recent release, Baby John, experienced a strong debut with a double-digit opening day revenue on Christmas, raising expectations for a successful box office performance. However, in an unfortunate development, the film's earnings have declined for the third consecutive day.

Box office analysis.

According to the tracking platform Sacnilk, the film has recorded a net revenue of ₹19.65 crore. The report indicates that the action thriller has been experiencing a consistent decline in box office performance for three consecutive days.

On its opening day, December 25, the film garnered ₹11.25 crore. However, it faced a significant drop of 57.78 per cent, resulting in a revenue of ₹4.75 crore on the second day. The downward trend persisted on the third day, with earnings of ₹3.65 crore, bringing the cumulative total to ₹19.65 crore (net). The film achieved an overall occupancy rate of 9.62 per cent in Hindi on Friday.

Baby John marked Varun's most successful opening in the last five years. His 2019 film Kalank, which featured Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sonakshi Sinha, earned ₹21.60 crore on its debut. Varun Dhawan previous theatrical releases, including Street Dancer 3D (2020), Jug Jugg Jeeyo (2022), and Bhediya (2022), did not reach double-digit figures on their opening days.

Nevertheless, the film struggled to maintain its momentum in the face of strong competition from Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule.

In addition to Varun, the film features Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav, with a cameo by Salman Khan. Directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, known for his work on Jawan, this action thriller narrates the tale of a police officer who goes into hiding to ensure a safe upbringing for his daughter. However, he is compelled to confront his past when her life is endangered. This film is a remake of Theri, which starred Vijay in the leading role, and it received a mixed reception upon its release.

As noted in a review by Hindustan Times, the film “begins on a rather uneven note, lacking depth for the first 40 minutes.” The review further states, “Ultimately, there is little that distinguishes Baby John beyond its action sequences. It may be bearable if one can endure the tedious musical numbers and the disappointing initial half hour. PS- It would be appreciated if Salman Khan were not relegated to a cameo in every film. How many times will he be used, Bhai?”
