On its opening day, Baby John achieved a respectable collection of ₹ 11.25 crore. However, the film experienced a significant decline on its second day, earning only ₹ 4.75 crore, and managed a slight recovery on its third day with a collection of ₹ 3.65 crore. The report indicates that the film had a Hindi occupancy rate of 12.46 per cent on its first Saturday.

Atlee, who previously directed successful films such as Jawan and Theri, is credited with the story for this project. The protagonist, portrayed in a dual role, appears to be a recurring theme for him, as evidenced by his collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan.”
