BTS Jungkook's I Am Still docu-series out on Dec 3: All you can expect from the Golden maknae
2 days ago | 5 Views
Months after BTS member Jungkook's I Am Still released in theatres, we are now closer to the docu-series being out on OTT. The same will be available on Disney+Hotstar within a day i.e. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. The three-episode documentary is likely to be one hour per episode and is a glimpse into the youngest BTS member's first-ever album, Golden. Here's everything you can expect from the docu-series...
A recap for those who couldn't watch I Am Still in theatres
I Am Still was not a documentary, it was an experience. While the internet gets buzzing around BTS concerts being a whole different world, Jungkook gave us a peak into that world. The ARMYs rooting for JK with their ARMY bombs were among the highlights of the movie. The lighting, with Jungkook's soothing voice, left ARMY but JK stans in particular, delighted. This experience is likely to repeat again.
More of Jungkook's humour
I Am Still was also about Jungkook's raw humor. Him cribbing about rain ruining his concert or calling cough syrup sweet and gulping it all down, were some moments that viewers adored. Well, with this docu-series, you can be assured that there will be more such moments.
Jungkook's extended concert
Back when I Am Still was in theatres, the makers released an extended version a week after the film's release. So, yes, we will see more of Jungkook's live concert glimpses in the docu-series. Of course, V (Taehyung) and Jimin are likely to appear again. Who knows, we might also see RM and Suga this time around (J-Hope was also enlisted in the military as Jin, by the time of the shoot). There's also a higher chance that we could see JK collaborate with Latto for the Seven concert in the docu-series.
Why the name, I Am Still?
Jungkook wanted to show a new side of him through Golden. The album also came right before he had to be enlisted in the military with the other BTS members. Jungkook has constantly reached out to the ARMY and asked them to not change (and of course, they have not, the proof of which is in the love Jin and J-Hope continue receiving, and Jimin-JK also win awards despite serving in the military). With I Am Still, JK wanted to tell ARMY that even though he has experimented, he is still the same JK they know and love. At the same time, he tells them that he is still with them despite the distance.
