Azaad review

The review of the film by Hindustan Times stated, "Regarding the debutants' performance: both exhibit a certain rawness that is evident. There remains considerable room for improvement, yet they succeed in making an impression. Rasha, at just 19, demonstrates a commendable screen presence but needs to enhance her emotional portrayals. Aaman has grasped the elements of dance and action, though he would benefit from further acting refinement. Mohit Malik, already recognized in television, is making his film debut with Azaad, and he is well-suited for the role. Diana Penty's storyline feels underdeveloped. Additionally, Ajay appears to have filmed his segments concurrently for both SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Azaad."

About Azaad

The film features Ajay Devgn, Rasha Thadani, Aaman Devgan, Diana Penty, Mohit Malik, and Piyush Mishra in prominent roles. Azaad delves into the profound connection between a young stable boy and a horse, set against the backdrop of pre-independence India. It premiered in theatres on January 17.

In a recent interview with the news agency ANI, Rasha discussed her experiences working with horses during the production. "I perceive horses as large puppies, and I have a deep affection for animals. When Azaad (the horse) arrived on set, I instantly felt an urge to embrace him. Collaborating with animals in my debut film was a significant milestone for me."

Rasha characterized her role as "headstrong" and "fearless," stating, "My character does not fear anyone. She possesses a clear understanding of her identity and origins. She is exceptionally determined and self-assured."
