Azaad generated approximately ₹1.5 crore on its opening day. According to preliminary estimates, it garnered an additional ₹1.5 crore nett in India on its second day, bringing its total earnings to ₹3 crore thus far. The film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 8.90% on Saturday. Despite its modest earnings, Azaad has emerged as the highest-grossing opener for debut films following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Azaad review

Abhishek Kapoor’s film excels in certain moments featuring Azaad, although such instances are limited. Regarding the performances of the newcomers, both exhibit a certain rawness that is evident. There remains considerable room for improvement, yet both actors manage to make an impression. Rasha, at just 19, demonstrates a strong screen presence but needs to refine her emotional portrayals. Aaman has grasped the fundamentals of dance and action, yet he would benefit from further acting training. Mohit Malik, already recognized in television, is making his film debut alongside Azaad and is well-suited for the role. Diana Penty’s storyline feels underdeveloped. Additionally, Ajay appears to have filmed his segments concurrently for both SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Azaad.

About Azaad

The production of the film is handled by RSVP Movies. In addition to Rasha and Amaan, the cast includes Ajay Devgn, Diana Penty, Mohit Malik, and Piyush Mishra. Azaad delves into the profound connection between a young stable boy and his horse. This cinematic work narrates a story of love, loyalty, and bravery.

Rasha recently opened up on her career

Rasha previously informed the news agency PTI that during her childhood, she frequently gazed into the mirror to practice various "expressions and movements."

"My passion for acting has developed over time. My mother always recognized that this was my destined path. She observed me engaging in these activities at home. When I was around five years old, she enrolled me in Kathak classes, and I recall feeling overwhelmed and crying because the other students were significantly older than I was. The experience was quite intimidating for me. Additionally, I began attending Indian classical dance classes when I was approximately eight or nine years old," she remarked.
