Ajay Devgn, supporting his nephew Aaman Devgan in his inaugural film Azaad, has unveiled the movie's trailer. Azaad centres around a magnificent black horse that yearns for companionship. The narrative delves into the journey of forming a connection with this stunning animal, which possesses the potential to be an incredibly loyal companion, perhaps even surpassing that of a dog or an elephant. Here is a preview of the trailer.

Azaad introduced

The trailer introduces Azaad at the very beginning. The focus is on the black horse, who runs wild with a sword in his sack.

The horse is owned by Vikram Singh, a role portrayed by Ajay Devgn. Upon his arrival at Azaad, Vikram delivers a line regarding firearms. In the film, he embodies a dacoit, a legacy that will be continued by his nephew Aaman's character.

Rasha Thadani and Aaman Devgan

Rasha Thadani, the daughter of Raveena Tandon, makes her debut in the film Azaad. She is introduced during a Holi celebration alongside Aaman, who greets her with the phrase, "Kya zabardast hai yaar," as she rides a horse. In a playful exchange, she refers to him as the 'stable boy,' to which he humorously responds by labelling himself an 'unstable boy.'

The tale of Azaad

Aaman's character faces challenges in his relationship with Azaad. He attempts to forge a connection with Azaad, believing that sharing food could facilitate this bond. However, Azaad seeks far more than mere sustenance; he yearns for genuine compassion. It is only at a pivotal moment that Azaad demonstrates his loyalty. Regrettably, Aaman inadvertently disappoints Azaad after he encounters a new brown horse and names it Chetak.

The narrative unfolds during the British colonial period, a time when the populace clamoured for an end to colonization. Ajay Devgn's character embarks on a defiant quest to address this demand.

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film Azaad features Diana Penty and Mohit Malik in significant roles. It is set to premiere in theatres on January 17.
