A month after its theatrical release, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha has made its way to OTT, but there's a catch. The film has dropped on Prime Video but is only available to rent at ₹349. Neeraj Pandey wrote and directed the romantic thriller, which stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead roles, marking their tenth film together. The film also features Shantanu Maheshwari, Jimmy Sheirgill, and Saiee Manjrekar in supporting roles. M. M. Keeravani composed the music for the film and its soundtrack.

Plot overview: A love story spanning two decades

The film explores the emotional depth and changing dynamics of a couple's relationship over the course of two decades, following their love journey from 2000 to 2023. The court convicts Krishna of numerous murders and sentences him to life in jail. In the end, this causes Vasudha to divorce him and marry Abhijeet. 23 years after his pardon and release from prison, Krishna yearns to see Vasudha. At the end, Krishna and Vasudha will meet for the last time. A love story has music and romance. Krishna becomes embroiled in a murder, disrupting their budding connection. Krishna meets Vasudha for the last time after serving 23 years in prison. Krishna and Vasudha's love journey is defined by this imminent reunion.

Box office performance: A major disappointment

The original release date for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was July 5, 2024, but exhibitors and distributors requested a postponement. The makers released a statement stating that they have unanimously decided to change the release date of their picture, Aurion Mein Kahan Dum Tha, upon request from the exhibitors and distribution fraternity. On August 2, 2024, the film finally hit theatres, receiving mixed to unfavourable reviews from critics. The film bombed at the box office, earning only ₹12 crore during its run.

It was a very disheartening experience at the box office for Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. On the first day (August 2), it grossed ₹1.85 crore. The collections for the last three days were ₹2.75 crore, ₹1.00 crore, and ₹0.95 crore, in that order. With a total expenditure of approximately ₹160 crore, the film made ₹12.00 crore in its first five days of release. With a loss of ₹88 to ₹148 crore, the film is the worst of 2024 following Ajay Devgn's Maidaan.
