Preparations are in progress for the upcoming release of Salman Khan's film, Sikandar. The superstar has chosen Eid as the release date for this weekend's film directed by AR Murugadoss. On Wednesday, the 59-year-old actor held a press conference at a hotel in Mumbai ahead of the film's debut. During this event, he spoke about a potential partnership with Atlee and made an unexpected revelation.

Atlee collaboration rumours

Reports indicate that Atlee, who entered Bollywood with Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan, is collaborating with Salman. Contrary to earlier speculation, the film is reportedly experiencing delays. Salman mentioned in their discussion, "He has crafted a high-budget action film." The actor affirmed this information. The substantial budget is contributing to the postponement of the Atlee project. However, it remains unclear whether Rajinikanth or Kamal Haasan will take on a leading role, as Salman is uncertain.

Salman confirms another big action film after Sikandar

In a conversation regarding his role as an action hero in Sikandar at the age of 58, Salman shared that he is set to undertake another major action film following its release during Eid. He emphasized that the stakes for this new project are significantly elevated and reflect a distinct local flavor.

When asked for more information about the upcoming film, the superstar disclosed that he is partnering with his elder brother, Sanjay Dutt, who is also a prominent figure in the industry. Furthermore, Salman noted that the identities of the film's director and producer have yet to be revealed.

Future collaboration with Sooraj Barjatya still on hold

He did not confirm or refute the speculation regarding his collaboration with Sooraj Barjatya on a film while addressing his upcoming projects. Salman mentioned that the partnership would take place once the director finishes his ongoing project. Barjatya is currently working on a film set for release in 2026, which will star Ayushmann Khurrana.

Salman Khan recommends Eid releases

Salman recommends viewing Sikandar or other recent film releases this week. The new titles, including Sikandar, L2: Empuraan featuring Mohanlal, and Jaat starring Sunny Deol, are particularly appealing with the added benefits of Eid celebrations. The superstar expresses his hope for the success of these upcoming projects from three prominent actors.

Sikandar features a talented cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi. The film is set to premiere on March 30, 2025, coinciding perfectly with the Eid festivities.
