The director said that when he called Asif to offer his support, the actor did not seem to take the incident personally and instead responded positively. Asif, after the issue, showed a mature and patient attitude, and Unnikrishnan said that he has set an example by doing so. "We have contacted the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) and requested an explanation from Ramesh Narayan, expressing FEFKA's condemnation towards the music director's behaviour on the public forum," he stated.

What is the issue between Ramesh Narayan and Asif Ali?

The trailer for Manorathangal, the upcoming MT Vasudevan Nair anthology web series which will be streaming on ZEE5 from August 15, caught the attention of moviegoers. In Kochi, the trailer for the film starring Mammootty, Mohanlal, Biju Menon and Fahadh Faasil was unveiled on the occasion of the writer's 91st birthday. However, Ramesh Narayan, the music composer, has now angered netizens with his shocking actions during the trailer launch event. At the event, the veteran musician resisted taking the memento from young actor Asif Ali and caused a stir until director Jayaraj arrived to calm him down.

Following severe internet trolling for his repulsive actions, Ramesh Narayan recently defended himself in a formal statement. The musician claims that insulting Asif Ali was never his intention. The composer did acknowledge that there were other reasons why he became upset at the time.
