Ashwin Babu interview on Shivam Bhaje
Shivam Bhaje was directed by Apsar, and speaking about him, Ashwin Babu says that though Apsar is from an Islamic background, the manner in which he penned the script with a deep connection to Hindi mythology shocked him. "It is no joke for a Muslim director to have such knowledge about Shiva and the devotional elements related to him. This aspect itself is quite special and will be one of the biggest highlights of the film," says Ashwin.
When asked about the budget of the film, Ashwin says that credit should go to his producers as they spent a lot of money on the film. "Today, if everyone is speaking about the rich scale of the film, it is because of my producers. They did not compromise on the budget and the re-recording by Vikas has taken the film to another level," says Ashwin.

Digangana Suryavanshi plays the female lead in this film, which also discusses India-China issues in a very interesting manner. "Post the screening for the censor officials, we felt that there would be a lot of cuts in the narrative. But all those who saw the film have only good things to say about Shivam Bhaje," says Ashwin.
The trailer also gives the idea that Shivam Bhaje also has a horror element. Ashwin says that, unlike his last two films, Hidimba and Raju Gari Gadhi, there is no horror element in the film. "Shivam Bhaje has a very unique concept which is very hard to explain. One can enjoy and understand the film only when they watch it on the big screens," ends Ashwin Babu.
