Now, the streamer has announced a list of new movies they are releasing, and two prominent projects from that list are coming out this week. Yes, you read that right. The streamer is all set to release Arthur the King and Diego Maradona this week. Read on to know everything about this massive update.

Arthur the King on Lionsgate Play

Starring Mark Wahlberg, Arthur the King was released on the big screen on March 15, 2024, and has been marked fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have showered the movie with praise, and fans who have seen the film cannot stop talking about it. While the film did not manage to bring in a massive footfall to theaters, it did not have a very wide release either. Fans who were excited to watch the film now have a chance to finally see it on streaming. The movie will be hitting Lionsgate Play on July 5, 2024, which is tomorrow.

The movie is about Michael Light, an adventure racer who goes on a 10-day adventure trek and finds a companion in a scrappy street dog. He soon takes him as a partner, and the two form a bond during the journey. Directed by Simon Cellan Jones, Arthur the King is based on Swedish adventure racer Mikael Lindnord's novel Arthur: The Dog Who Crossed the Jungle to Find a Home.

Diego Maradona on Lionsgate Play

Based on the celebrated life of footballer Diego Maradona, this documentary film is one of the most loved in the genre. The movie has been hailed for bringing out the real player and not just worshipping him. We see the human side of the legend, and very few movies go to the extent this documentary does. To our surprise, the film is already streaming on Lionsgate Play. The streamer has dropped it today, and it is now available for the audience.
