Appa I Love You OTT release date: When and where to watch Tabla Nani-led family drama
1 month ago | 5 Views
Appa I Love You, a title derived from a popular song from the film Chowka, had Nenapirali Prem, Manvita Kamath and Tabla Nani in main roles, in a film about an elderly man’s issues with his son, and how he then goes on to build new relationships. The film released in theatres in April this year, but even though the subject and the message at the end was appreciated, the filmmaker’s execution of the same was flawed, leading to it being widely panned by critics and audiences.
Appa I Love You coming to Cinebazzar OTT
Appa I Love You is now headed to OTT, with Cinebazzar OTT, the digital theatre that makes films available on TVOD (Transactional-video-on-demand/rental), providing the film a platform. As of now, the team is planning to release the film on October 11 on the streamer, at a cost of Rs 49, but the final date will be zeroed in only closer to the date. In recent times, the streamer had to postpone the release of Pruthvi Ambaar’s Matsyagandha, owing to fears of piracy.

Atharv Arya’s film has two arcs – one following a young couple played by Prem and Manvita, who are keen to embrace parenthood, but are unable to owing to medical complications and another, with an elderly gentleman, Dharmanna, played by Tabla Nani, whom they find at an orphanage.
Dharmanna has been at the receiving end of abuse, mental and physical from his daughter-in-law, and is engaged in litigation with his son and his family to ensure he leads a dignified life. The film’s treatment of this, though, was said to be preachy, with no lasting impact.
