Aparshakti Khurana on Stree 2's box office success
Continuing this conversation, Aparshakti opened up about the massive success of Stree 2. The Amar Kaushik directorial has minted over Rs 700 crore (gross) at the worldwide box office. When asked if he expected the film to do these figures, Khurana stated, "Me or anybody else attached to the film, if we say that we expected these humongous numbers, we will be lying of course." That said, Aparshakti mentioned that team Stree 2 knew they were making something 'nice, happy and special'.
"We enjoyed a lot on set and knew this would work. But ye numbers.... some divine intervention has to happen for any film to reach here. You cannot plan this no matter what you do," he added. The actor further compared this situation to Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan's acting career.
"It's like Shah Rukh sir and Amitabh Bachchan sir's career. You cannot plan it ki ye itne saalo tak acting karte rahenge aur chalta hi rahega mamla. It's not something you can plan. Touchwood, all of us have a lot of gratitude for the energies to make it happen," Aparshakti said while signing off.
