The highly awaited pan-India action drama Dacoit, featuring Adivi Sesh, has just gotten even more exciting with the addition of the talented director and actor Anurag Kashyap to the lineup. Known for his impactful roles and keen filmmaking style, Kashyap will take on the role of a brave police inspector who has a strong devotion to Lord Ayyappa. His character, filled with sharp humor, sarcasm, and a firm stand against corruption, is set to add a fresh layer to the film's already captivating storyline.

Alongside Mrunal Thakur, who plays the female lead, the film is packed with intense action and drama. The latest poster for Dacoit has ramped up the excitement, giving fans a sneak peek into the gritty and emotional journey of the main character. The plot revolves around an angry convict on a quest for revenge against his ex-girlfriend who betrayed him. Anurag Kashyap shared his enthusiasm about his role, saying, "It’s a blast and a challenge to play a police officer who’s also an Ayyappa devotee. The struggle between duty and dharma, along with delivering his lines with a dry wit, is just fantastic. I can’t wait to dive into this character in both Hindi and Telugu. The real test is to keep the same vibe in both languages, and I’m really enjoying that challenge."

Dacoit, directed by Shaneil Deo in his first outing as a director, is an ambitious film brought to life by a skilled team. Supriya Yarlagadda is producing, with Suniel Narang co-producing and Annapurna Studios presenting. They’re shooting the film in both Hindi and Telugu at the same time, with the story and screenplay crafted by Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. Currently, they’re filming in Hyderabad, but soon they’ll be heading to Maharashtra for a more extensive shoot.
