The team behind Anurag Basu's upcoming film Metro… In Dino shared on Wednesday that the new release date is set for July 4. This anthology movie is a sequel to Basu's 2007 film Life in a… Metro and will showcase a star-studded cast. 

Metro…The release date for Dino has been revealed

When love, destiny, and urban life come together, something magical is sure to unfold! #MetroInDino shares heartfelt tales from the cities you adore! Catch it in theaters on #July4th, as announced by T-Series on their social media.

The movie features a talented cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkana Sensharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Recently, there were some whispers about the film possibly not hitting theaters this year due to various delays.

However, the film's team quickly shot down those rumors. They stated, “Contrary to some media reports suggesting that 'Metro In Dino' is being postponed, we can confirm that the movie will be released this year in 2025."

Produced by Bhushan Kumar from T-Series and Anurag Basu Productions Pvt Ltd, the film features music by Pritam, who has previously worked with Anurag on hits like Gangster, Life in a… Metro, Barfi!, Jagga Jasoos, and Ludo.

Filming began in 2022 and wrapped up in March of this year. Anurag had the concept in mind for quite a while but really fleshed it out during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Additional tasks

Anurag has a movie coming up with Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela. It's set to hit theaters this Diwali, and they just dropped the first look. The announcement video features a slowed-down version of the song "Tu hi zindagi hai, tu hi aashiqui hai," but the filmmakers haven't said if it's actually the third installment of Aashiqui.
