It was announced long back that the movie would be released on April 10. But Ankush said on Sunday night that Mirza would be released on April 11. Soon after this announcement, a lot of speculations in Tollywood started brewing regarding the reason behind this decision. The film – Ankush’s debut production along with Surinder Films – also features Kaushik Ganguly.

On April 10, two big-budget Hindi films will also be released. On this day, these two films, Maidaan and Bade Mian Chote Mian, have arranged paid previews in two cinema halls in West Bengal. Hence, Mirza would not get many shows. In an interview with Anandabazar Online, Ankush said, ‘Everything depends on the sighting of the moon on Eid. There will not be much crowd on Wednesday in the halls. The Hindi films will have some paid shows on Wednesday. Everyone is getting shows from Thursday onwards.”

So, will Mirza not have any show on Wednesday owing to the pressure of Hindi movies? Inox-PVR is presenting the film. Their reports say that the two Hindi films will have paid previews on Wednesday after 6 pm. Eid is on Thursday and therefore Mirza’s release has been postponed. However, they claim that Mirza will not have any problem getting an ample number of shows. Sources say that the film will get more than a hundred shows in West Bengal. People liked the trailer and the songs. Hence, a part of the industry thinks that the film’s results will be positive at the box office.
