Anjaamai is an upcoming Tamil film starring actors Vidaarth, Vani Bhojan and Rahman in prominent roles. The film is written and directed by filmmaker SP Subburaman and backed by M Thirunavukarasu MD under Thiruchithram Productions. Dream Warrior Pictures is presenting the film.

Anjaamai is set to hit big screens on June 7. The film will be competing at the box office along with Weapon starring actors Sathyaraj and Vasanth Ravi, and veteran actor Mohan’s comeback film Haraa. Anjaamai is touted to be a social drama that will be throw light on the education system of India. It will be the second release this year for Vidaarth after Devil which hit theatres in February.

Vidaarth is shown as a theatre artist, and the soon the trailer delves into the subject matter of how education has been made hard for students. We also see Rahman playing a lawyer, questioning the law about how the system of education has grown tough on students. The film is inspired to be true incidents as we see headlines about NEET exams. Anjaamai seems to delve into the hardships of parents and students to get education.

Plot

Touted to be a social drama based on true events, Anjaamai is about a young boy who aspires to be a doctor. While he gets an unwavering support from his father who serves as his pillar of strength, the system of education does not allow the boy to achieve his dreams. With bureaucracy, systematic obstacles and various other problems, the film follows the trials and tribulations of students in the country to pursue their passion.

Certified a clean U by the Censor Board, Anjaamai has a runtime of two hours and one minute. The film is presented by Dream Warrior Pictures banner, which is known to have backed films like Kaithi and Farhana.
