The trailer of Amaran, the upcoming film starring actor Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, was released by the makers on social media on Wednesday. The film is all set to hit theatres on October 31 for the occasion of Diwali.

Actor Sivakarthikeyan will be starring in his first-ever biopic in Amaran. He will be playing Mukund Varadarajan, a commissioned officer in the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment. He was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for his operation with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles battalion. Actor Sai Pallavi will be sharing screen space with the actor for the first time, portraying Mukund’s wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese.
On Wednesday, the makers released the trailer of the film. The trailer begins with the real montage of Mukund with his daughter as it transitions to Sivakarthikeyan. We see Sivakarthikeyan slowly transform into a man who aspires to join army. As he joins 44th RR, the trailer shows the blossoming love story between Mukund and Indhu, how he thinks army is his life, and how military people are often considered terrorists in other languages. With Indhu being by his side, Amaran trailer is filled with emotions, action sequences and patriotism. One can see the transformation Sivakarthikeyan has gone to play Major Mukund in the film.
Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, Amaran is produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International. Sai Pallavi, Rahul Bose, and Lallu are also part of the cast. GV Prakash is scoring the music for the film.

Amaran’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by Netflix. The technical crew consists of cinematography by Ch Sai, with R Kalaivanan as the editor. GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music for the film.
Sivakarthikeyan’s transformation in Amaran, which is expected to be high on action, has already garnered much attention among his fans. The film will be releasing along with Jayam Ravi’s Brother and Kavin-starrer Bloody Beggar.
