Amaran box office collection Day 4: The biographical war drama film directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, has been receiving immense love from both the audiences and critics. The movie, which stars Sivakarthikeyan as the real-life soldier Major Mukund Varadarajan, and Sai Pallavi in the role of his wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese, is now on its way to emerging as the highest-grossing film in both the actors’ careers. As per the latest updates, Amaran has touched the Rs. 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office, just within its first weekend at the theatres.

As per the latest updates, the Sivakarthikeyan starrer has made a total collection of around Rs 105 crore from the worldwide box office, when it completed the first weekend (4 days) of its release. The recent reports suggest that Amaran has crossed the Rs 70 crore mark with its domestic (All India) collections. The overseas collection of the Rajkumar Periyasamy directorial now stands at Rs 35 crore. The much-loved film is expected to emerge as the highest-grossing film of both Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, in a couple of days.
According to trade experts, Amaran is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark domestically, just in a couple of days. The total worldwide collection, on the other hand, is expected to cross the Rs 150 crore mark, very soon. If things proceed at the same rate, the Rajkumar Periyasamy film might also enter the Rs 200 crore club of the Tamil film industry, by the time it completes its lifetime run at the theatres.

For the uninitiated, Sivakarthikeyan appeared in the role of real-life soldier, Major Mukund Varadarajan in the film, which marked his first collaboration with director Rajkumar Periyasamy. Sai Pallavi plays the role of Indhu Rebecca Varghese, Mukund’s longtime girlfriend-turned-wife, who won many hearts with her unmatched strength and resilience. Amaran is produced by RKFI, the home banner of veteran actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, and Sony Pictures India. GV Prakash Kumar composed the songs and the original score, for the film.
