Aditya Seal and Sunny Singh recently collaborated on a film titled Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani. Directed by Hardik Gajjar, the film is a same-sex love story between Aditya and Sunny's characters. While Aditya plays Prem, Sunny is seen as Amar in the JioCinema film. It premiered on the streaming platform on October 4, 2024. Now, in an interview with Mid-Day, Aditya has opened up about playing a gay character in Gajjar's film.

Speaking with the tabloid, Aditya Seal mentioned it was easy for him to say yes to doing Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani because it conveyed the message of acceptance and empathy. Aditya believes that all love stories are special and Amar Prem's story is no different. The actor shared he aimed to present his character's journey authentically 'without falling into clichés or caricatures'.

Seal went the extra mile to ensure that he didn't knowingly or unknowingly offend the LGBTQiA+ community through his character portrayal. "I wanted to approach this character without any preconceived notions. For me, it was essential to stay true to the script and focus on delivering an authentic portrayal, without overthinking the fact that I was playing a gay character," he said.

The actor further mentioned, "The aim was to ensure that the character felt real, without falling into stereotypes. I heard the script and it was an instant yes for me. A love story is a love story."
