Bollywood director Amar Kaushik's horror-comedy Stree 2 made quite an impact at the box office when it premiered. The film garnered widespread acclaim from both critics and viewers, quickly becoming one of the top-grossing films of 2024. Recently, in a chat with Komal Nahta on his YouTube channel, Game Changers, Amar shared insights about his life following the success of Stree 2.

Amar Kaushik mentioned that he faced a lot of pressure while making Stree 2

When asked about any changes since working on Stree 2, Amar mentioned that not much has shifted. He said, "What happened was that we made the film under a lot of pressure, it got pushed up quite a bit, and a lot went on. So now, I plan to take it easy for the next 3-4 months. Plus, people's expectations have skyrocketed, with everyone wondering when the next one will come out. I'm trying to steer clear of that and not let it weigh on me. Other than that, nothing has really changed."

Amar Kaushik shares that he hasn't slept in 2-3 months

He went on to share how Stree 2 was created under a lot of stress, saying, "We were really under pressure while making this film. First off, it’s a sequel, and sequels always face backlash. My co-writer, Niren Bhatt, and I told each other to brace ourselves for the criticism and focus on minimizing it as much as we could. When it came to the VFX, you don’t actually do it yourself; you just give directions and oversee the process, which makes it tough to gauge the timeline. Once we realized there was still a ton of work to do and not much time left, we lost sleep in those final 2-3 months. But now that the film is out, I’m finally catching up on my sleep."
