Dileesh Pothan, who wears both the filmmaker and actor hats, is gearing up for the OTT release of his latest acting project, Am Ah. This Malayalam film hit theaters in January 2025 and will soon be available for streaming on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium. Here’s the lowdown on the cast and storyline of Am Ah.

Am Ah is set to begin streaming on Sun NXT and OTTplay Premium starting April 18, 2025 (Friday), which is more than two months after it hits theaters. The movie, featuring Jaffer Idukki in an important role, will probably be offered solely in its original Malayalam language, complete with English subtitles.

In addition to Dileesh Pothan and Jaffer Idukki, Am Ah includes notable performances from Devadarshini, Meera Vasudev, TG Ravi, Maala Parvathi, Sruthy Jayan, and Alencier Ley Lopez in significant roles.

Directed by Thomas K Sebastian, the film tells the story of Stephen (Dileesh Pothan), a road construction supervisor who travels to a secluded hilly area for work. While there, he encounters a woman (Devadarshini) and her granddaughter, sparking his curiosity about their lives.  

The movie didn’t really create a buzz when it hit theaters on January 25, but people were definitely curious about the title ‘Am Ah’ and its meaning. Now that Dileesh Pothan’s film is set to release on OTT, it might attract some attention in the digital world.

Dileesh Pothan is a well-known director recognized for his work on films like Maheshinte Prathikaaram and Joji, starring Fahadh Faasil. He made his acting debut in a brief role in Salt N' Pepper. Regardless of the size of his roles, Dileesh has successfully established himself as an actor. He has appeared in various films, including Thalavan, Malik, Joseph, and Trance.
