Allu Arjun’s arrest

Allu Arjun was taken into custody on December 13 in relation to the death of a fan during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The police filed a First Information Report (FIR) against both the actor and the management of the theatre. He was granted bail by the Telangana High Court on December 14, after spending the night at Chanchalguda Central Jail.

Upon his release, Arjun addressed the media at his residence in Jubilee Hills, expressing his condolences: “We are deeply sorry for the family, and I will personally offer my support in any way possible. This incident was purely accidental. I was inside the theatre enjoying a film with my family while the unfortunate event occurred outside. There is no direct connection to me; it was truly unintentional. My thoughts are with the family, and I will assist them in any manner I can.”

He further remarked on his long history with the theatre, stating, “I have been attending film premieres at this theatre for the past two decades, visiting more than 30 times, and never before has such an incident occurred. It is indeed tragic. This was an accident, and we are profoundly sorry for what transpired. However, it was entirely beyond our control.”

A number of celebrities have publicly expressed their support for the actor on social media and have also visited him personally.
