A new action thriller series featuring Ali Fazal and directed by Prosit Roy is set to hit Prime Video, as per reports that came out last week. Filming is expected to kick off in April, according to the latest updates from mid-day. The delay in Fazal's upcoming series was due to the pause in shooting for Raj-DK's Rakt Bramhand, so he chose to jump into this new project without delay.

Shooting kicks off in April

Roy and the actor are set to kick off filming their modern crime drama in Delhi this April, getting the ball rolling on the show. The untitled series is said to be shaping up as a huge action-packed spectacle. 

An insider told the tabloid that Fazal is set to kick off this show a bit later in the year. The filming of Rakt Bramhand has been pushed back because of reshoots and some rumored financial issues, which has led to the new series starting sooner than expected. It's based on a true story and tackles themes of crime and punishment.

Inspired by real events

Filming kicks off in Delhi and then moves to Mumbai for the series, which features Sonali Bendre as well. Fazal is gearing up to start preparations this week.

An insider shared that the crew is locking in actual locations around Delhi since the show is inspired by real events. With experience co-directing the first season of Paatal Lok, Roy is focused on keeping the show’s genuine, immersive vibe. Fazal will also be showcasing some complex action sequences. Once they wrap up the Delhi shoot in May, the team will head to Mumbai to film the climax.

Handling several projects at once

Even though the second part of Rakt Bramhand might overlap, Fazal is said to be able to juggle both projects successfully. The Netflix series is helmed by Rahil Anil Barve and features Aditya Roy Kapur, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Wamiqa Gabbi in the main roles.
