On January 24, Ali Fazal utilized his Instagram account to share an extensive post. In this message, the actor conveyed his appreciation for the success of his Mirzapur series, which has emerged as the most-viewed content of 2024 across all platforms. Following this, he provided his thoughts on Jaideep Ahlawat's Paatal Lok Season 2.

He remarked, "Yesterday, I completed watching Paatal Lok, and I believe it is the finest show to have originated from the subcontinent. I feel that narratives experienced hold greater significance than those merely observed (I intend this in a way that emphasizes both viewing and feeling; please refrain from seeking out real-life experiences)."

In reference to Mirzapur reaching this significant milestone, the actor expressed, "As Mirzapur emerges as the most-watched content of 2024 across all platforms, I am reminded of the exceptional talent and dedication we have collectively shared over the years among our fellow enthusiasts."

He remarked that the past year has been one of awakening and appreciation, emphasizing that they have gradually learned to support one another rather than harbor animosity.

The post also included a photograph of the actor alongside his Mirzapur co-stars, Shweta Tripathi and Shriya Pilgaonkar. He noted that they occasionally meet up in various places. "I possess some remarkable photos with everyone from Mirzapur, but to share them all would require a coffee table book—so you will have to wait for that. They all know that my affection for them exceeds what I can adequately express."

Paatal Lok Season 2 cast

Jaideep returned to his role as the police officer Hathi Ram Chaudhary. Abhishek Banerjee reprised his character Vishal 'Vish' Tyagi, commonly known as Hathoda Tyagi. Additionally, Ishwak Singh portrayed Imran Ansari, while Gul Panag took on the role of Renu Chaudhary, and Neeraj Kabi played Sanjeev Mehra, all of whom garnered acclaim for their performances.

In a notable addition, Tillotama Shome joined the cast of Paatal Lok Season 2, alongside Nagesh Kukunoor and Jahnu Barua.
