Naslen K Gafoor is preparing for the launch of his forthcoming Malayalam film, Alappuzha Gymkhana, which is directed by Khalid Rahman. The film is anticipated to premiere in the summer of 2025. While the producers have yet to confirm an official release date, online sources suggest that the Naslen-led project is slated for release on April 3, 2025. This date is particularly noteworthy as it falls directly between the releases of two major Malayalam films, Empuraan and Bazooka.

Naslen’s Alappuzha Gymkhana release  

Naslen, who achieved significant success with his film Premalu last year, is preparing for his upcoming major release, Alappuzha Gymkhana. The film is rumoured to be released on April 3, positioning it to compete with Mohanlal's Empuraan and Mammootty's Bazooka. Empuraan is set to premiere on March 27, while Bazooka is expected to be released in theatres on April 10, coinciding with the Vishu festival.

Empuraan, helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, has garnered significant attention as fans eagerly anticipate the release of the sequel to the Lucifer franchise. Additionally, there is considerable excitement surrounding Mammootty’s Bazooka, which features Gautham Vasudev Menon in a prominent role.

Conversely, Alappuzha Gymkhana showcases Naslen alongside Lukman Avaran and Ganapathi S. Poduval. This film is described as a sports comedy and is produced by Khalid Rahman, Jobin George, Sameer Karat, and Subeesh Kannanchery. Lukman Avaran, who portrays a coach in the movie, previously mentioned that it promises to be an enjoyable and entertaining experience.

Naslen’s Premalu

Last year, Naslen rose to prominence following the success of his film Premalu, which garnered attention beyond Kerala. This romantic comedy, featuring Mamitha Baiju alongside Sangeeth Prathap, Akhila Bhargavan, and Shyam Mohan, quickly captivated audiences. The Telugu-dubbed version of Premalu is currently available for streaming on Aha and OTTplay Premium. Notably, both Naslen and Mamitha previously appeared in Anaswara Rajan’s Super Sharanya, with both films being directed by Girish AD.
