How Aurangzeb played the most important part in ploy towards Chhatrapati Sambhaji's death
Chhatrapati Sambhaji remained oblivious to the presence of infiltrators within his ranks, who were consistently informing Aurangzeb of his movements. Consequently, despite his numerous efforts to evade capture, Sambhaji ultimately fell into Aurangzeb's hands.
Aurangzeb presented Sambhaji with three stipulations for the preservation of his life: 1. The surrender of all his forts, 2. The revelation of all concealed treasures, and 3. The identification of Mughal officers collaborating with the Marathas. Additionally, Aurangzeb proposed that Sambhaji convert to Islam; however, Sambhaji responded with disdain towards both the emperor and the Prophet Mohammad. Furthermore, he audaciously demanded that Aurangzeb offer his daughter as a condition for his conversion.
As a result, Sambhaji, along with his minister Kavi Kalash, endured severe torture before being executed by beheading near the Bhima River.
