Akshay Kumar is preparing for the upcoming release of Kesari Chapter 2, which features Ananya Panday and R Madhavan in prominent roles. The actor is fully committed to promoting the film, recently sharing a captivating image of himself in the attire of a Kathakali dancer, which has impressed his fans.

On Wednesday, Akshay took to Instagram to post the promotional image where he appears as a Kathakali dancer. In the caption, he stated, "This is not merely a costume. It represents tradition, resistance, truth, and my nation. C Sankaran Nair did not engage in battle with a weapon; he confronted the British Empire through the law — fueled by passion. On 18th APRIL, we will present the court trial that was never included in textbooks. #KesariChapter2 #SankaranVsTheEmpire."

The image quickly gained widespread attention, receiving enthusiastic feedback from his supporters. One admirer remarked, "The actor is at his peak with each new film and role." Regarding Kesari 2  

In this courtroom drama, Akshay portrays C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer who stands against the British Empire in the fight for justice following the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. The film aims to explore a lesser-known segment of history, highlighting Sankaran's resolve as he confronts the British Empire in a legal showdown. The trailer, released last week, depicts Akshay engaged in a courtroom battle against Madhavan, who plays Neville Mckinley, the lawyer representing the Crown. The trailer also features Ananya Panday, a law student from the UK.

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film is inspired by the book "The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. It is scheduled to premiere in theaters on April 18.
