About Kesari Chapter 2

Kesari Chapter 2 is helmed by Karan Singh Tyagi in his directorial debut and produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape Of Good Films. The film is adapted from the book The Case That Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat, focused on C Sankaran Nair and the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

Ananya Panday impressed viewers with her portrayal of Dilreet Gill, and the director defended her selection in an interview with News18. He stated, “The audiences have shown so much affection for her character that I prefer to focus on the positive. I wish to emphasize the love she is receiving. Two days ago, there was a screening in Hyderabad. Some viewers sent me videos from there. The audience was applauding during her entrance scene. She was the only female lawyer in a room full of men. And that alone serves as the ideal response to all the negative remarks. ”
