In the following days, the film maintained its momentum, although it has not demonstrated significant growth in its figures.

About the film

Kesari Chapter 2 is considered a spiritual sequel to Akshay's 2019 successful film Kesari. He portrays lawyer C Sankaran Nair, Madhavan takes on the role of his adversary, Neville McKinley, while Ananya plays Dilreet Gill. The film is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.

In an interview with ANI, director Karan Singh Tyagi explained the necessity of sharing the story. He mentioned that the film's concept first emerged when he read the book titled 'Case That Shook the Empire,' written by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. He further stated, “I grew up watching films by Rajkumar Santoshi such as Damini. That enthusiasm for grand-scale human drama influenced my filmmaking style. The book revealed aspects of the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy that are seldom addressed. It was not merely a massacre; it was a calculated political maneuver. ”
