Lenin title glimpse: On Akhil Akkineni’s birthday, the title of his upcoming movie was revealed along with a sneak peek. This marks his first project following the poorly received 2023 film Agent, where he sported a rugged new look. Check it out!

A sneak peek of Akhil Akkineni's film titled Lenin has been unveiled

In this brief one-minute clip, the actor shares how his dad instilled in him the significance of a name, which endures even after someone passes away. After hinting at his transformation, the clip features him in a casual shirt and pants, standing confidently while Sreeleela admires him with a look of appreciation.

Akhil shared a sneak peek of Lenin on his X (previously Twitter), captioning it, “#LENIN it is….Madness is in….” Nagarjuna also chimed in, celebrating his son Akhil's birthday with a heartfelt message: “Happy birthday, dear @AkhilAkkineni8! As you step into this new year, I’m wishing that the Universe showers you with its strength and brilliance so you can truly shine!! Excited to work with you @vamsi84. Big thanks to the Lenin team for the amazing glimpse!! And to all the Akkineni fans, we appreciate your love!”

The internet responds

Fans had mixed reactions to Akhil's new look, with some enjoying it while others were puzzled about his choice to star in what seems like a typical masala film. One fan sarcastically commented, “This is amazing, just like the 2738373 other masala movies that came out... so original. Total mass masala.” Another fan likened it to Ram Pothineni’s flop, Skanda, saying, “I thought I was watching Skanda 2 for a second.”

One user on X raised a question, “Is there any connection between these old films and their titles? Why ruin the names of great leaders, man?” On the flip side, Akhil’s supporters were enthusiastic, posting comments like, “Total goosebumps,” and “Ayyagaare no. 1,” which is their nickname for him.

Akhil Akkineni's earlier movies

Akhil has consistently portrayed urban roles since he first appeared in the 2015 movie Akhil. Following that, he starred in Hello in 2017, Mr. Majnu in 2019, Most Eligible Bachelor in 2021, and Agent in 2023. Although he faced some setbacks, Agent was particularly disappointing, earning just ₹13.4 crore globally against an ₹80 crore budget. The film Lenin is directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, produced by Nagarjuna and Naga Vamsi, with music composed by Thaman S.
