Nandamuri Balakrishna, the "God of Masses," is set to enthral audiences once again as he reunites with the blockbuster director Boyapati Sreenu for their highly anticipated fourth collaboration, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam. This sequel promises to elevate the high-octane action and gripping drama that captivated fans in the original Akhanda, which was a massive success, grossing over ₹100 crores at the box office in 2021.

Exciting Beginnings

The regular shoot for Akhanda 2 officially kicked off today at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, with Balakrishna leading the charge on day one. True to his style, Boyapati initiated the filming with a breathtaking fight sequence choreographed by the renowned stunt master Ram-Lakshman. The excitement was palpable as the makers released a teaser video showcasing a powerful dialogue from Balakrishna:

“Ee Nela Asurudidi Kaadu ra… Eshwarudidi... Parameswarudidi... Kaadani Thaakithe Jarigedi Thaandavam... Akhanda Thaandavam...”

This intense moment is further amplified by a dynamic background score composed by Thaman, adding an electrifying energy to the project.

Release Date and Expectations

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is slated for a grand release on September 25, 2025, coinciding with the Dussehra festival. The film is being produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under their prestigious banner, Reels Plus, and presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri. With its pan-Indian release strategy, both Balakrishna and Boyapati aim to capture audiences across India, marking a significant milestone in their careers.
