Vidaamuyarchi is the most recent film featuring Ajith, garnering significant interest within the Tamil cinema community. While fans of Ajith are appreciating the film for its stylish action sequences, the general reception has been varied. Additionally, the action drama was released in Telugu under the title Pattudala on February 7, 2025.

Pattudala Telugu collections

The reception of the Telugu version has been notably lackluster, resulting in a significant decline in its occupancy rates. The initial three-day box office collections for the film starring Trisha Krishnan are as follows: on the first day, Pattudala garnered ₹50 lakhs; on the second day, it earned ₹40 lakhs; and on the third day, Saturday, the revenue fell further to merely ₹35 lakhs.

With a cumulative total of ₹1.4 crore to date, these figures are alarmingly low. Ajith enjoys a substantial fan base in the Telugu-speaking regions, with his previous releases typically debuting with over ₹3 crore. However, Pattudala has faced considerable challenges in attracting an audience.

One of the primary factors contributing to this situation is the premiere of Naga Chaitanya's Thandel, which was released on the same day. This action drama commenced with respectable earnings and has thus far generated slightly more than ₹25 crore, maintaining a robust performance at the box office. This development has considerably affected Pattudala's prospects.

Pattudala is a big flop in Telugu states

The circumstances are exceedingly critical, as the majority of screens designated for Pattudala have been redirected to Thandel. To make matters worse, the film is finding it difficult to reach even 30% occupancy.

Additionally, a significant issue is the insufficient promotion of the Telugu version. A portion of the audience remains oblivious to the film's release. Pattudala, a road thriller starring Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra in prominent roles, has not managed to generate the expected interest, despite its notable cast.

By the looks of it, Pattudala will likely be out of theaters by Monday or Tuesday. For now, the film in Telugu has no takers. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
