The buzz around the upcoming Tamil film Vidaamuyarchi just got a little louder! Initially, we mentioned it was set to release during Pongal 2025, and now the team has shared that they’re in the final stages of shooting. They also dropped some fresh pics of Ajith Kumar looking sharp in a black and white suit, hanging out with Trisha, director Magizh Thirumeni, and cinematographer Om Prakash.

Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi is still on track for a January 2025 release during Pongal, though we’re still waiting for the exact date. Produced by Lyca Productions, this film marks the first time Magizh Thirumeni is directing Ajith Kumar. The soundtrack is by Anirudh Ravichander. There are whispers that it might be a remake of the Hollywood flick Breakdown, but the team hasn’t confirmed that yet.
