Ajayante Randam Moshanam, the period fantasy film which stars Tovino Thomas in the lead role, has emerged as the highest grossing film of Onam season 2024. The movie, directed by Jithin Laal, highly impressed audiences with its performances, making, and technical aspects. Tovino Thomas played a triple role for the first time in his career, in ARM. However, recently, the actor revealed that he has a fourth character, in the film.

Tovino Thomas’ fourth character in Ajayante Randam Moshanam

In a recent interview with the Reel Tribe, Tovino Thomas extensively spoke about his roles in Ajayante Randam Moshanam. Interestingly, the talented actor revealed that he had one more character in the film, named Klaathan. For the uninitiated, Tovino played the roles of warrior Kunji Kelu, burglar Maniyan, and Ajayan, in the Jithin Laal directorial. However, while writing the film, the leading man and director were considering to include one more character named Klaathan, in the film.

Tovino Thomas, who spoke about Klaathan, confirmed that he is the father of Maniyan, the most loved character of ARM. Klaathan’s name is mentioned in the film when Maniyan’s backstory is unfolded. Ajayante Randam Moshanam mentions that he is the notorious goon from Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu who was mentioned even in the Police’s criminal list. Maniyan begins his journey when Klaathan is killed by a group of 12 men, when he was just a 7-year-old-boy.

Tovino Thomas puts fan theories to rest

With his revelation, Tovino Thomas also confirmed that Maniyan is, in fact, not the son of Kunji Kelu as the fan theories suggest. He is in fact, was born at least two generations after the legendary warrior, and could be his grand son. Maniyan is the son of Klaathan, who could be the son born of Kunji Kelu and his lady love, Chothi. Tovino revealed that even though they initially planned to bring Klaathan on screen, the idea was later dropped as the actor was already playing three characters in the film.
