Yuddhakaanda Chapter 2, a Kannada film set to release in theaters on April 18, is highly recommended by its star and producer, Krishna Ajai Rao. He emphasizes that it's a must-see, particularly for families with daughters. As a father to a young girl himself, Ajai, known for his role in Taj Mahal, feels a personal connection to the film's theme and believes it's crucial for everyone in society to recognize its relevance.

Ajai, known for his work in Krishnan Love Story, believes that Yuddhakaanda should focus less on the story he and his team are trying to convey and more on the questions and reflections it inspires in viewers. He emphasizes that the film is aimed at women and the men who support them. Additionally, it highlights society's tendency to view women who have experienced abuse as villains rather than standing by them as victims.

Ajai Rao: How are we working to stop the mistreatment of girls?

Ajai, while chatting on the B Ganapati podcast, pointed out that the mental anguish faced by abuse victims often goes unspoken. He emphasized the need for society to engage in discussions about preventing abuse against girls and women. He compared it to how our legal system mandates wearing helmets while riding bikes, along with various other safety measures that come with penalties for non-compliance. Ajai questioned, however, what proactive steps are being taken to stop the abuse of girls. He believes that both societal attitudes and legal frameworks need to change to address this issue.

If the topic is that serious, does it mean entertainment takes a backseat? "Entertainment isn't the main goal of Yuddhakaanda. In cinema, no matter the theme, there should be entertaining moments sprinkled throughout, so Yuddhakaanda will include some of those. However, the core of the film revolves around a tough question that will definitely leave viewers, particularly parents of daughters, feeling uneasy," Ajai explains.
