Ajay Devgn takes on the lead role, with Sanjay Dutt stepping in as the antagonist in the upcoming film Ranger, directed by Luv Ranjan and Jagan Shakti. Devgn will portray a forest ranger, while Dutt is set to embody the perfect villain, thanks to his commanding presence, as noted by Pinkvilla.

Ranger is set to kick off filming in the Summer of 2025. Right now, Luv Ranjan is busy locking down the locations, while Jagan Shakti is focusing on the VFX to bring the forests and wildlife to life. They’re also working on finalizing the cast for the movie.

Sanjay Dutt wasn't actually dropped from the film and replaced by Ravi Kishan, despite what some reports said. The real deal is that Dutt had trouble getting a UK visa, but he’s completed all his shoots in India and is definitely still in the movie.
