Aishwarya Lekshmi set to headline Tamil web series for SonyLIV | Details inside - EXCLUSIVE

Actor Aishwarya Lekshmi, who was last seen in the Tamil romantic comedy Pon Ondru Kanden, is all set to make her debut in long-format storytelling. The actor is set to headline an upcoming Tamil web series for the streaming platform SonyLIV. While the series is yet to get a title, Aishwarya Lekshmi, in an exclusive chat with OTTplay, shares details about the project.

In an exclusive conversation with us, actor Aishwarya Lekshmi revealed that she will be headlining a web series for SonyLIV, making it her first series in her career. Speaking about it, the actor said, “I am shooting for a Tamil web series for SonyLIV right now. We are at Pollachi filming it right now after finishing the Coimbatore schedule. My character has a lot of space to look at things, and not be in a hurry, which makes my acting more like a process. I am not in a rush while working on this series. There is a lot of cast and crew, and very fun team to work with.”

Further, the actor also revealed that Yaazhi Films, which backed films like Kuthiraivaal, Bommai Nayagi, and Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, is producing the series.

Aishwarya Lekshmi recalls first day shoot of web series

The actor also shared an anecdote of an interesting event that took place on the first day of shooting her web series. “Right after the pooja, we had read something like a pledge where we said nobody will be differentiated on the grounds of caste, creed, colour and others on the sets. I found that very interesting and begin with a positive note,” recounted the actor.

Aishwarya Lekshmi also added that it was an interesting note to begin with, especially how the sets is filled with known faces as well as young technicians as well.

The upcoming series is yet to get a title. Further details on additional cast and crew are yet to be unveiled by the makers.
